At 44 years of age, Paul has had several years of experience in the management of outbound sales focussed Call Centres. His career highlights prior to entering the Call Centre Industry include;

Paul entered the industry almost by accident, taking on a role as a telemarketer with Prudential Retirement Planning, a financial services company. By his second night he was at the top of the sales board, a position he never lost throughout his time with PRP. After only six weeks he was promoted to the position of team leader and quickly looked for ways to help his team to increase sales levels. These included the introduction of call blending, team building and motivational programmes.

With a pending buy-out Paul moved to Christchurch where he set up his own company Forus Marketing, which was contracted to another leading financial services company. His client set some milestones/KPIs, which were due to be met within 18 months, at which point the client was due to takeover the company. These milestones were actually met after approximately four months, and the business was sold to the client.

Paul was then employed to set up a telemarketing centre for GDC Communications, a tier-two telecommunications company. After running several successful campaigns, including one where the annual sales budget was exceeded in 32 working days, Paul suggested turning the Call Centre into a full outsource bureau. His role included prospecting, sales, operational management and providing consultancy to several companies both in New Zealand and internationally. His clients included utilities companies, municipal councils, confectionary companies, a car rental company and a leading bank.

After a few years Paul wanted to return to Australia and took on a position with a leading outsource bureau, as business development manager, before taking a position as Call Centre Manager, with a specialist outbound focussed bureau, and was responsible for the overall management of the Westpac Call Centre, a centre with over 100 seats.

In July of 2002, Paul decided to once again set up his own business, with a plan to gradually grow the company focussing on the specialist area of outbound calling. Word spread rapidly of his company’s successes and PartnerCall is now amongst the leaders in its industry.

Outside of work, Paul is actively engaged in his local community.  As well as being President of the local Primary School Council, and coaching/mentoring football umpires, Paul runs a huge Christmas lights display each year that takes several months of planning and preparation.
